CD single
Historical? Yes. But not up to Beatles standards and more than a little creepy. To quote Dr. Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park, the guys "were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should." It isn't terrible by any means, but in my opinion, not a fitting end to the group's recorded legacy. Out with a whimper, not a bang.
Regardless of what I think, the single won a Grammy award in the Best Rock Performance category. It was also nominated in the category of Record of the Year, eventually losing to Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar.
