Since September 2010, this blog has recorded the journey of this middle-aged man as I attempt to listen to all the music in my CD collection. CDs revisited in their entirety from start to finish - no skipping tracks, no shuffle. CDs only - no vinyl, no tapes, no downloads. And just as CD technology (and the album format itself) becomes obsolete. I'm no music critic, just a music junkie with too much time on my hands.

Bebel Gilberto - Tanto Tempo (2000)

Stylish, cool, contemporary bossa nova. A relaxing mix of acoustic instruments, Brazilian electronica, and beautiful vocals. Perfect for late nights on the lanai.

Peak on the US Billboard Top 200 chart: Did not chart

Tracks: While there's nothing I want to skip, my favorites are Samba da Benção, August Day Song, Mais Feliz, So Nice (Summer Samba), and Samba e Amor.

Personal Memory Associated with this CD: Every time I listen to Bebel Gilberto, I inevitably think, "I need to listen to Bebel Gilberto more often."

Previously revisited for the blog:
All in One (2009)
Bebel Gilberto (2004)
