Since September 2010, this blog has recorded the journey of this music junkie as I attempt to listen to all the music in my CD collection. CDs revisited in their entirety from start to finish - no skipping tracks, no shuffle. Compact Discs only - no vinyl, no tapes, no files.

Amy Borkowsky - Amy's Answering Machine (2000)

A spoken-word comedy CD which is a collection of actual answering machine messages from Amy's overprotective mother. It is definitely funny, but, like most comedy CDs, doesn't stand up to much repeated listening. You can find some representative samples here. It's a short CD; clocking in at just over 28 minutes. It's interesting that Amy takes the credit when all she did was save her mother's messages. It's her mother that's hilarious.

Volume 2 was released in 2003. Don't have that - one is enough.

Personal Memory Associated with this CD: I caught Amy promoting this CD on the Today Show and quickly bought copies for my parents and father-in-law. Don't remember their reaction to the CD, though.
